September 20th, 2009 NFL week 2 thoughts
It is amazing how much difference good coaching makes just ask the 2-0 49ers. Ask how big a difference it makes when Norv Turner runs his little back when he need 2 yards on 4th down.
Buffalo has looked great in 2 games going 1-1, they are one bad kick return decision away from being 2-0.
Both St. Louis and Washington are bad teams, hopefully you did not watch that game today.
Houston is better than we all thought after week one and I do not think Tennessee is as bad as their 0-2 record looks. I am sure they miss Albert Haynesworth, I can’t help but think if they had Albert today the Titans would have been able to stop the Texans from scoring 34 points on the road.
I am not sure what team is going to slow down New Orleans, they can just plug in players, like Mike Bell and don’t miss a beat.
Big win for the Jets, do they become the team to beat in the AFC East?
Green Bay showed that they could not stop the run against the Bengals, and they killed a bunch of suicide pools, including 2 of mine.
Minnesota is better than Detroit, but the Lions will take a game or two home this season.
The Broncos are giving up 6.5 points per game. I blame the teams from Ohio, not the Broncos defense. Brady Quinn is not ready for big time NFL football yet.
The Bears took advantage to 2 missed FGs by Jeff Reed and stole a game from Pittsburgh. A win is a win in the NFL. Jay Cutler showed that week one was just an aberration. He showed leadership and a will to win.
